Vegetarian Pizza (no sauce involved)
I must come clean and admit that: I’m always watching cooking shows, reading cooking books, pinning recipe, sharing and creating new dishes.
I’ve been following a blogger for a few years (around 2009-2010) and I always liked her recipes and fell in love with her website design and her writing style. I was very excited when she got a cooking TV show literally as if it was me on the TV show.
The following recipe has Ree Drummond written all over, with a few minor changes of my own, but I’m sure Ree won’t mind. One of the changes is that I use pizza dough, while Ree uses the mixture for cheesy bread.
This recipe yields 2 medium pizza's
Ingredients:
2 cups of black olives (pitted and drained)
1 cup of pimiento-stuffed green olives (drained)
2 stalks green onions
1 garlic clove (mashed)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
½ cup of mozzarella cheese (grated)
½ cup Gouda cheese (grated)
1 cup of mushrooms (sautéed)
1 round pizza crust, cooked (store bought or check recipe for pizza dough)
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. In the food processor chop both olives, green onion.
3. In a bowl combine: olives with onions, mayonnaise, mushroom and cheeses.
Ree’s Tips:
1. The mixture can also be refrigerated (up to 2 days) and used as a dip. Great with crackers!
2. In the picture I just did green olives, mushrooms and yellow bell peppers.
Enjoy!
