Pizza Margherita


Pizza Margarita

So this is going to be an easy recipe 1, 2, 3 type. Cooking time and preparation less then 30 minutes (this is assuming you have tomato sauce leftover, otherwise get some already made at the market).

This makes one individual pizza.

Ingredients:

1 garlic Naan bread

3 cherry tomatoes (halved)

6 slices of fresh mozzarella

4 tablespoons of tomato sauce

4 fresh basil leaves

1 tablespoon of olive oil

Sea salt and Peper

Directions:

1. Brush the oil on both surfaces of the naan. Place in a baking tray and season with salt and pepper.

2. Top with tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, and cheese.

3. Bake for 15 minutes under the broil on medium heat.

4. Take out place the basil, season once again with salt and pepper and drizzle with some olive oil.

Tips:

1. Flat bread, or arabic bread are also great options. I bought garlic naan just so I had an extra flavour profile.

2. Melted fresh mozzarella works wonderfully with the acidity of the tomato sauce.

3. The extra cherry tomatoes to this recipe is to added a sweet-note which complements the basil really well.
