Udon Noodles & Meat Balls
Oh my! oh my!... Here I go again, I can't get away from the noodles, any noodles, they just follow me to all recipes I make.
Udon Noodles are Japanese thick noodles, which makes it much more chewier, such a treat!
I know that meat balls and noodles is more of an Italian dish, but I decided to give it a asian twist.
This recipe yields 4 portions
Ingredients:
2 packages of udon noodles (pre-cooked)
450 gr. minced meat
1 beaten egg
200 gr. of snow peas
2 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of sriracha
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of sesame seed
2 cups of Chinese spouts
3 tomatoes (chopped)
2 tablespoon of vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Make the meatballs by mixing the minced meat, salt and pepper, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and sriracha, and the beaten egg. Mix well and forms balls.
2. In a non stick pan cook the meat balls in a little bit of oil. Once fully cooked, add the snow peas and tomatoes, sauté for 5 minutes. Then add the rest of the soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil, turn the heat off.
3. Add the pre-cooked noodles, sprouts and sesame seed.
Enjoy!
