Monday Beef Hot Dogs

Beef Hot Dogs with Avocado, Salsa Rosada and Fried Noodles

What can I say, sometimes you crave what you crave... I even went as far as to make the hot dog links with beef, I wanted a specific taste and texture, and I achieved it! Me happy! No Blue Mondays over here.

This recipe yields 4 hot dogs.

Ingredients:

500 gr. ground beef

1 tablespoon of ras al hanout

1 teaspoon of salt

1 egg (beaten)

1 tablespoon of bread crumb

1 avocado (mashed)

1 lemon (juice and zest)

2 tablespoons of mayonnaise

2 tablespoon of ketchup

1 table spoon of Dijon Mustard

1 onion (julienned)

1 tomato (chopped)

ramen noodles (chopped)

1 tablespoon of butter

Hot Dog buns

Directions:

1. In a bowl mix: beef, ras al hanout, salt, egg and bread crumbs. Mix well and divide into 4 equal portions, make a ball first and then start shaping it into a link, cook in a non-sticking pan without any fat or oil, keep warm in the oven.

2. In the same pan the links were cooked, without clean it add the onion and tomato and cook until soft, keep warm in the oven with the hot dogs.

3. In another bowl mix: avocado and lemon juice, season with salt and pepper and keep cool in the fridge.

4. In another small bowl add mayo, ketchup and Dijon mustard, mix well! This is my salsa rosada (pink condiment sauce) style.

5. Fry the noodles in a tablespoon of butter and drain in a paper towel.

6. Steam the buns or put them in the oven for 5 minutes. Then assemble it: link, sauce, avocado, onion and noodles.

Tips:

1. I always add the sauce to the wall of the bun before putting the link in.

2. There is no wrong away of assembly.

3. Seasoning the noodles with the package ramen seasoning is also a good option.

Enjoy!
