Crostini with Labne, Figs & Cinnamon Syrup

I usually don't eat many sweets, neither I crave it often. So I think from time to time my body says: "give me some sugar" and so I do. I think listening to what your body asks is the best way to keep healthy unless your body asks for burgers every day, mine does I just ignore from time to time.

The recipe for today is pretty simple, I had some baguette made some slices, spread some labneh (recipe here) into it, fresh figs and strawberries and toasted macadamia nuts.

For the simple syrup, 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of water, one tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, put all together in a pan, bring to a boil and turn the heat off. Drizzle on top of the crostini.

Goat cheese is another option that would go beautifully with this crostini.

Enjoy!
