This recipe yields 4 burgers.
Ingredients:
500 grams boneless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 eggs (beaten)
4 tablespoons of flour
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust according to your spice preference)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
4 burger buns
Mixed seeds (such as sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or sunflower seeds)
4 tablespoons Greek yogurt
4 slices Herve cheese (or any other strong-flavored cheese)
Crisp lettuce leaves
Sliced tomatoes
Oil to fry
Directions:
Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure the chicken is evenly coated with the spices. Set it in the fridge for 30 minutes, then add 1 bitten egg and flour.
Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat with the frying oil.
Cook the chicken breasts for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked and have a nice golden-brown exterior. Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°C for safe consumption.
While the chicken is cooking, lightly brush the top of the buns with the other egg and sprinkle a generous amount of mixed seeds on the bottom half of each bun for that irresistible crunch. Toast the burger buns on the oven or Airfryer to cook the top of the bun as well.
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes on a wrack. Then, slice the chicken breasts into burger-sized pieces (if necessary).
Spread a tablespoon of Greek yogurt on the top half of each bun.
Place a slice of Herve cheese on the bottom half of each bun, allowing it to melt slightly.
Assemble the burgers by placing the sliced chicken on top of the melted cheese. Top it with crisp lettuce leaves and sliced tomatoes.
Enjoy!
