Grilled Cheese Sandwich
By now, you must be aware that I'm a cheese fanatic. Probably I could eat cheese everyday, actually I can! but I shouldn't! This grilled cheese, is one of my favorite, there is simplicity in it with very few ingredients, but flavours are pungent and rich and scrumptious, and gooey. Non of these ingredients are negotiable.
Believe me, this will be a greatest grilled cheese EVER!!! maybe not ever, but you get my it.
So you must have Dijon mustard, English aged cheddar, and shredded Parmesan cheese.
This recipe yields 2 servings.
Ingredients:
4 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
4 slices of English aged cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/4 cup (about 25g) shredded (shredded in the moment) Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Preheat a large skillet, griddle or a panini-press over medium heat.
Spread 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard on each slice of bread (on the inside).
Place the English aged cheddar cheese on top of the mustarded bread and top it with the remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.
Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the top of each sandwich and sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese.
Place the sandwiches in the skillet, griddle or panini-press, and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove the sandwiches and let them rest for a minute or two before cutting them in half, this will make all the difference.
Enjoy!
